In the deep south of Reno, you find a Wal-Mart Super Center that would make Sam Walton proud. At Damonte Ranch Parkway Exit #59, Wal-Mart is the main anchor store that is surrounded by everything else. Let’s see, where to begin?
You've got Kragen Auto Parts, fuel, Carl’s Jr., A&W Root Beer, KFC, Quizno’s, Cingular Wireless, Long’s Drugs, Starbucks, Jamba Juice, Marble Slab Creamery, Pick Up Stix, Great Harvest Bread Company, Qdoba Mexican Grill, Round Table Pizza, Denny’s, Jack in the Box, Radio Shack, Del Taco and a dry cleaners.
Good parking lot with easy access to freeway and South Virginia Street. However, we wouldn’t recommend overnight parking at this location. It’s very, very busy.
Long’s Drugs is open 7 AM to 12 Midnight and offers some camping supplies, discount merchandise and, of course, a pharmacy. They are no longer selling Pyramid Lake camping permits.
When leaving this Wally World, turn left onto Damonte Ranch and go under the freeway. Down the street is Home Depot, Home of Construction Orange: (775) 851-6000.
